Dr Toufexis loves educating the community and sharing her knowledge with our youth. Recently, she visited IS126Q Class 822 and spoke with Ms Vangelatos-Toufexis's students about the importance of eye examinations for young children and the profession of Optometry.

Our Vision is Your Vision. Toufexis Family Eye Care is working towards not just servicing you and your family, but the community surrounding us. Throughout the year, in conjunction with Eyes of Hope, we participate in Eye Make A Difference. Patients donate their old eyeglass frames and we send them to Eye Make A Difference. Eye Make A Difference® is an eyewear donation program to help people see worldwide. Nearly 310,000 pairs of glasses have been donated through Marchon® Eyewear and their doctors, clients, and members. Eyes of Hope® supports local communities around the globe through programs that bring disaster relief, education, eye care, and eyewear to places where they’re needed most.

5th Annual One Warm Coat Drive

Toufexis Family Eye Care and One Warm Coat®,
warming communities…one coat at a time. Forty-five million Americans are currently living in poverty. For these families and individuals, a warm coat is a budget extra they simply cannot afford. Toufexis Family Eye Care invites area residents to make a difference in your neighbor’s lives by donating coats and dollars during our upcoming coat drive! One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that works to provide a free, warm coat to any person in need and raises awareness of the vital need for warm coats. One Warm Coat supports individuals, groups, companies and organizations across the country by providing the tools and resources needed to hold a successful coat drive. Coats are distributed in the communities where they were collected, to any person in need, without charge, discrimination or obligation. Since its inception in 1992, One Warm Coat has worked with its volunteers to give away over 4 million coats. www.onewarmcoat.org |
White Plains Youth Bureau Toy Drive

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Toy Drive to benefit The White Plains Youth Bureau in 2016.
Last year, with support from the community, the Youth Bureau was able to provide 600 Christmas and Hanukkah presents for 273 youngsters in the city.
